This is the compelling autobiography, "Roman," by the acclaimed filmmaker Roman Polanski. Published as the First Ballantine Books Edition in May 1985, this paperback offers an intimate look into Polanski's life, from his childhood in Nazi-occupied Poland to his early career struggles, groundbreaking films like 'Rosemary's Baby' and 'Chinatown', and personal tragedies, including the loss of Sharon Tate. A vivid and candid account of one of cinema's most controversial figures. This book was also a selection of the Book-of-the-Month Club. Features a quote from The Houston Post praising it as a 'riveting life story.' The pages show some age-related yellowing consistent with a vintage paperback.
